Mwembetanga fresh foods limited is a defined, established and the largest producing and exporting company situated in Kampala, Uganda with its operations spread all over the country. Our head office is located at Lumumba Avenue, Plot 39A, Mukwasi house, Kampala, Uganda. Since its incorporation in December 2015 as a limited Liability Company, it has continuously specialized in the production, grading, storage, marketing and distribution of high quality products for both local and international markets. This partially explains why our brand is well recognized and respected globally in the food industry.
The Company produces and exports fresh fruits and vegetables of Ugandan origin, handled with internationally permitted standards from seed selection to your dining table. We are seen as an extension of the farm, with the primary goal of prioritizing our farmers (out growers)/suppliers to ensure sustainable production and supply throughout the year.
As a principle to achieve the best returns for our partners, the company focuses on delivering consistent top quality products to our global clients, which is made possible by a well-controlled production team, passionate management and an organized traceability system monitored by Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF).
Mwembetanga’s facility includes some of the latest and best presorting techniques available in the country which perfects our sorting, grading, storage, and exportation of our products.
FOOD PACKING
Mwembetanga’s operations, consists of the sorting, grading, packaging and on-site logistical functions to handle our products. Together they form a tightly bound unit, working closely with the marketing and quality assurance team to ensure we exceed our customers’ expectations in order to optimize our value chain.
As a company policy, packaging depends on the interests of the client basing on the specifications of the market to be exported to. Before shipment, the products are stored in our high-density dispatch area, ensuring adherence to strict protocols and all functions are supported by our state of the art IT systems, giving us full traceability at all level.
